"Dia de la Tierra" contactando organizaciones
Hello. My name is Soyen Park. I am an intern at Earth Day Network,
coordinatingn Earth Day events in Latin America. I contacted the
Embassy of Honduras in Washignton D.C. in order to get information
about NGOs or schools thatwould beinterested in holdingthe Earth Day
events in their communities. The embassy suggested me to contact them
through the sustainable development network.
Earth Day Network (EDN) was found in 1970 in order to promote
environmental citizenship and year round progressive action
worldwide.
Earth Day Network is a driving force steering environmental awareness
around the world. Through Earth Day Network, activists connect,
interact, and impact their communities, and create positive change in
local, national, and global policies. EDN's international network
reaches over 12,000 organizations in 174 countries, while the
domestic program keeps over 3,000 groups and over 100,000 educators
coordinating millions of community development and environmental
protection activities throughout the year. As a result, Earth Day is
the only event celebrated simultaneously around the globe by people
of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities. More than a half
billion people participate in our campaigns every year. I am looking
for NGOs or schools that are holding the Earth Day events in
Honduras. It would be great if you would give us contact information
of organizations that would be interested in having the Earth Day
events or contact them if they are interested. Currently, we are
posting documents in Spanish on our website. www.earthday.net and
organizations can register their events on
http://www.earthday.net/_groups/Login.aspx
Thank you so much for your attention I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Soyen Park
