Re: Honduras
Hey Mr Robin Hood
Fight the dragon of corruption in Honduras the way you want It, saca tu espada y aparta las llamas frente a frente, hijo lo importante es tu colaboracion en busca de un bien comun. Honduras
saludos

Good day everyone,
It is my personal opinion that the only people that make sense in this forum are Jose Garcia Matamala and Mecate. The rest of the discussions are about municipalities and trivial issues. No one addresses racism, discusses civil disobedience (with an objective, of course). Are you afraid of challenging your government out in the open? Corruption is universal - but in Honduras, it is the norm. It has become part of the fabric of Honduran society.
Face your country's demons. Resistance to criticism is not going to take you anywhere. Rather, it will take you four hundred years back.
Good luck with your quasi struggles and denial of a PAINFUL reality.
Goodbye,
C. Brown
We are back right where We Started.

Mr. C. Brown,
Criticizing doesn't add anything to provide solutions to our problems.
We already know which ones are Honduras problems. We live them on a daily basis! It happens that many people just add extra burden upon us citizens providing unsolicited tough criticism, but not solutions to our situation.
But...the solutions?
Those are the ones that we badly need.
Best regards,
Tony

>My sarcastic email censoring the social, political, and economic crisis in Honduras stem from the many years I spent there. Throughout my state in Honduras, I worked with Garifunas, Misquitos, Mestizos, Indian, English speaking folks, victims of domestic violence, fed street children, and visited many prisons. As a result of my work, I learned Garifuna and Misquito - languages that I cherish very much. As you can see, I speak from experience.

>Though many of the issues addressed in my email are not unique to Honduras, the true is, that in Honduras most of them are the norm.

>Since my return from Honduras, I have been working very hard with honest and hard working Honduran in order to make a difference.
>
>My advise to you is move away from DENIAL and be realistic about the problems Honduras face. As mentioned in my email, some of these problems are: corrupt legal and political system, lack of existing social programs, violation of human rights, racism etc.

>Wait, there is more. Before they arrive to the infernal pit though you call jail, each official is instructed to beat the living Jesus out of them and steal everything from them. Remember, these poor devils with a fifth grade education and earning $150.00 a month are properly trained to kill.

>Wait, there is more, if the police officer (s) arrests a woman, just RAPE her before she arrives to the infernal pit. If he or she is Garifuna or Black English speaking, just tell him or her to prepare his or her grave. Remember, 50% of Honduran are not mixed with Garifuna or Black. And, Garifunas were not declared a Heritage Population by UNESCO in 2001. Excuse me. I didn't mean to question your whiteness.

>Wait, there is more. Do you know how many children die of hunger on the streets of Honduras or send to the other side by police officers? Or how many children prostitute their bodies so that they can eat? Not to worry- European and American perverts are the first one to jump into the bandwagon to join these lovely feasts. However, everything is fine in Honduras. Blame the problem on the human waste. Your President Ricardo Maduro aka Noriega is doing a fantastic job, that is why you family must kiss his poppet bums. I almost forgot. Kissing bums is the norm in Honduras.
>
>Wait, there is more, we are professionals in Honduras. We have produced great diplomats. Well, the kind of diplomat that kiss bums, come to his office drank, has never taken a diplomatic class in his or her life, and doesn't speak English. Instead, the quasi diplomats have coffee with el Senor Peterr. As a result, he or she defines having coffee with Senor Peterr as being a diplomat. Hurrah!
>
>Wait, there is more. How about the members of the killing machine during the military heyday? Any plans of sending them to the slammer? You can ask Vladimiro Montesino to help build the appropriate jail for these caring bunch. Leave these boys alone. Most of them are living large. They deserve to live in peace and in harmony like any other Honduran.
>
>Wait, there is more. How about the role of the Mormons and Catholic religion. Do you know what they tell the poor and illiterate women? Have five hundred children and God would love you, but don't expect me to help you financially. These colonizers mean well, though.
>
>
>Wait, there is more. Ninety-nine per cent of Honduran men define masculinity based on how many women they impregnate, how many times they beat the living Jesus out of them, and how many women they rape.
